State Song

On March 12, 1928, the Kentucky Senate and House of Representatives passed a resolution making “My Old Kentucky Home” the official state song. Penned by Stephen Collins Foster, this song was allegedly inspired by Federal Hill in Bardstown, the home of Foster’s distant cousin John Rowan.
