8. Public Documents at the Kentucky Historical Society (1841)

In "an act for the benefit of the Kentucky Historical Society" on January 21, 1841, the General Assembly enacted that "it shall be lawful for the Secretary of State to deliver to the Kentucky Historical Society one copy of the Journals of the Senate and the House of Representatives of the General Assembly, for safe keeping, on behalf of the State, to be used by said society, and to be accessible to the examination of any citizen of this Commonwealth."
