201 KAR 2:010.Schools approved by the board.

Section 1.

An applicant for licensure as a pharmacist, shall have graduated and received a degree in an accredited pharmacy degree program, which has been approved by the Board of Pharmacy. A program shall be considered approved if the program's standards are equivalent to the minimum standards for accreditation for a similar program established by:

(1)

The Accreditation Council on Pharmaceutical Education, Accreditation Standards and Key Elements for the Professional Program in Pharmacy Leading to the Doctor of Pharmacy Degree; or

(2)

The Canadian Council for Accreditation of Pharmacy Programs, Accreditation Standards for Canadian First Professional Degree in Pharmacy Programs.

Section 2.

An applicant for licensure as a pharmacist who shall have graduated and received a degree in a foreign pharmacy degree program, other than from a college or school accredited by the Canadian Council for Accreditation of Pharmacy Programs shall be deemed to be a graduate of a pharmacy degree program, which has been approved by the Board of Pharmacy if the applicant has obtained a Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Examination Committee Certificate through the Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Examination Committee Certification Program, which is administered by the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy.
