A motion was made by Representative Crenshaw to consider as reviewed, the Personal Service Contract List, with exception of those items selected for further review by members of the committee. Senator Stine seconded the motion, which passed without objection.

New West, LLC, M-04085896-XXX. Jim Host discussed the amendment with the committee. A motion was made by Senator Stine to approve the amendment. Representative Crenshaw seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.

 

John Roach, General Counsel, Office of the Governor, presented to the committee a Cost Summary Analysis delineating the amount of state dollars spent by the executive branch on personal service contracts for legal services in each of the past five fiscal years.

 

Jim Host, Secretary, Kentucky Commerce Cabinet, presented to the committee a videotape of the newest television commercial advertising Kentucky tourism, numerous charts and graphs detailing marketing and advertising information and strategies, and the explained the Commonwealth Banding Project and the cost thereof.

 

The committee discussed continuation of the exemption request for local health departments.  Senator Tori made a motion to approve the exemption.  Senator Gibson seconded the motion, which passed with Senator Stine abstaining from voting.

 

With no further business before the committee, the meeting adjourned at 11:14 a.m.
