The Government Contract Review Committee met on<Day> Tuesday,<MeetMDY2> November 8, 2005, at<MeetTime> 10:00 AM, in<Room> Room 125 of the Capitol Annex. Representative Brent Yonts, Chair, called the meeting to order, and the secretary called the roll.

A motion was made by Senator Tori to approve the Minutes of the October 5, 2005, meeting of the committee. Representative Montell seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.

 

A motion was made by Representative Stein to consider as reviewed, the Personal Service Contract List, with exception of those items selected for further review by members of the committee. Senator Tori seconded the motion, which passed without objection.

The committee discussed a request for exemption from the Department of Transportation, Department of Aviation, for Aviation Economic Development Grant agreements. The exemption would extend through June 30, 2008. A motion was made by Senator Stine to grant the exemption. Representative Stein seconded the motion, which passed without objection.

 

Jonathan Copley and Steve Shannon, Cabinet for Health and Family Services, discussed a contract between the cabinet and Liberty Healthcare for the administration of Oakwood Intermediate Care Facility for the Mentally Challenged in Somerset. The effective date of the agreement would be November 1, 2005, at a negotiated rate of $350,000.00 per month. The agreement would be submitted to the Government Contract Review Committee for review at the December meeting.
