The 9th meeting of the Government Contract Review Committee was held on Tuesday, March 14, 2006, at 9:00 AM, in Room 125 of the Capitol Annex. Representative Brent Yonts, Chair, called the meeting to order, and the secretary called the roll.

The committee discussed an exemption request from the Department for Workforce Investment for all Memoranda of Agreements created under Title I of the Workforce Investment Act of 1998, which provides funding for approved adult, youth, and dislocated worker services, as well as employment and training services to workers affected by plant closures, mass layoffs, and other major economic factors. A motion was made by Senator Scorsone to grant the request until June 30, 2007. Representative Stein seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
