A motion was made by Representative Yonts to approve the contracts subject to an ending date of June 30, 2006, and with the cabinet retaining the option of petitioning the committee again prior to the end of this fiscal year with a proposed amendment to renew the contracts "for time only" beginning July 1, 2006, and ending before the end of the 2006-08 biennium, and that the record reflect that this shall not be construed as any precedent to any other agency or to the Transportation Cabinet with a strong admonition to all cabinets that they begin contracts as close as they can to the beginning or ending of the fiscal year so we don't get into this bind. Representative Crenshaw seconded the motion, which passed without objection.
