The<MeetNo2> Government Contract Review Committee met on<Day> Tuesday,<MeetMDY2> December 12, 2006, at<MeetTime> 10:00 AM, in<Room> Room 125 of the Capitol Annex. Senator Katie Stine, Chair, called the meeting to order, and the secretary called the roll.

A motion was made by Representative Montell to approve the Minutes of the November 16, 2006, meeting of the committee. Representative Yonts seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.

 

A motion was made by Representative Yonts to consider as reviewed, the Corrections List. Senator Tori seconded the motion, which passed without objection.

 

A motion was made by Representative Yonts to consider as reviewed, the Personal Service Contract List, with exception of those items selected for further review by members of the committee. Senator Tori seconded the motion, which passed without objection.

 

A motion was made by Representative Yonts to consider as reviewed, the Personal Service Contract Amendment List, with exception of those items selected for further review by members of the committee. Senator Tori seconded the motion, which passed without objection.

Rick Graycarek from the Legislative Research Commission, Program Review and Investigations Committee conducted a Powerpoint presentation on the Highly Skilled Educator Program with the Department of Education.  Michael Hanson from the Regional Educational Laboratory and Steve Schenck with the Department of Education gave a response to Program Review's presentation.

 

Jason Nemes from Chief Justice Lambert's office and Scott Ferkin with the Administrative Office of the Courts discussed conflicts surrounding guardian ad litem fees relating to KRS 621.001A.

 

With no further business before the committee, the meeting adjourned at 12:15 p.m.
