Representative Crenshaw seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
Finance and Administration Secretary Jonathan Miller addressed the committee regarding the practice of amending contracts. He acknowledged the committee's concerns about agencies amending contracts for additional large sums of money and stated that it was also a concern of the Finance and Administration Cabinet. Due to the present budgetary shortfalls, Secretary Miller directed all agencies to review the necessity of making such amendments and to only seek amendments when absolutely required. He assured the committee that all amendments would be thoroughly scrutinized by the Finance and Administration Cabinet.
