EXEMPTION REQUEST
TOURISM, ARTS, & HERITAGE CABINET
Tim Pollard, Rhonda Nix, and David Lovelace discussed a request for exemption for Grant Awards – Procedure for Regional Marketing and Matching Funds Program. The Committee declined to approve the requested exemption. Instead, the Committee agreed to allow the Cabinet to file grant award contracts with a July 1, 2009 start date in July for review at the August meeting. The Committee’s action permits the Cabinet extra time to file its new fiscal year contracts. Furthermore, the contracts shall be submitted with a letter requesting a retroactive start date.
