AN ACT relating to the establishment of a pilot project for the practice of denturitry.
Create new sections of KRS Chapter 313 to establish the denturitry pilot project for the provisional licensing of denturists; create and define the responsibilities of denturists; create and define responsibilities of the denturitry oversight committee of the Kentucky Board of Dentistry to include complaint monitoring; impose penalties for licensed and unlicensed denturists; require information for submission by licensed denturists; require a report for submission to the Legislative Research Commission by July 1, 2005, regarding the denturitry pilot project.
HB 238 - AMENDMENTS
HFA (1, T. Burch) - Retain all other provisions, except transfer responsibility for administration of the denturitry pilot project from the Board of Dentistry to the Office of Aging Services within the Cabinet for Families and Children; modify requirements to be licensed as a denturist by substituting experience under the supervision of a licensed denturist for experience constructing dentures; clarify and make more specific the experience requirements for the grandfather provision.
