HB 244 (BR 899) - J. Callahan, C. Hoffman, H. Moberly, R. Palmer

     AN ACT relating to a building inspectors training program.
     Create a new section of KRS Chapter 198B to authorize the establishment of a building inspectors training program in the Department for Housing, Buildings and Construction to encourage the establishment of inspection programs in local governments and to encourage the highest levels of certification available for building inspectors; allow department to provide $150,000 for the running of the program.

HB 244 - AMENDMENTS


     HCS - Retain original provisions of bill, but specify the administration of the fund.
     HFA (1, J. Callahan) - Clarify the disposition of excess funds from plan review fee at the end of the year, and clarify that the amount of the excess funds shall be recorded on the executive branch budget bill and memorandum.
     SFA (1, V. McGaha) - Delete provisions of section relative to Governor's draft and executive budget recommendations, and general statements of repeal, discontinuation, and suspension not affecting the fund.
