HB 249/FN (BR 1170) - J. Lee, L. Clark

     AN ACT relating to procurement authority.
     Amend KRS 45A.100 to increase from $20,000 to $40,000 the cost of construction projects and purchases for which the Finance and Administration Cabinet, state institutions of higher education, and the legislative branch may use small purchase procedures; amend KRS 56.491 to increase from $125,000 to $200,000 a state agency's capital construction project expenditure requiring prior approval of the Finance and Administration Cabinet.

HB 249 - AMENDMENTS


     HFA (1, M. Treesh) - Amend KRS 424.260 to increase from $10,000 to $20,000 the minimum expenditure above which local governments are required to make newspaper advertisement for bids.
     SCS/FN - Retain the original provisions; amend KRS 154.47-045 to provide that the Finance and Administration Cabinet provide the Kentucky Wood Products Competitiveness Corporation with a monthly list of state projects in excess of $50,000 and request a list of suggested vendors from the list when the secondary wood products are in excess of $50,000.
