AN ACT relating to school principals.
Amend KRS 160.290 to permit local boards of education to authorize school principals to enter into contracts for the provision of goods and services for their schools, subject to certain restrictions.
HB 285 - AMENDMENTS
HCS - Retain the original provisions, except require the local school board, through the superintendent, to confer on the principal the authority to enter into contracts for goods and services necessary to the effective management of the principal's school; provide that the school board may revoke the superintendent's and principal's authority to contract; and require quarterly reports by the principals to be submitted to the superintendent as well as the local school board.
