AN ACT relating to emergency medical technicians.
Amend KRS 211.964 to provide, that new emergency medical technicians shall be initially certified using the requirements established by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians; require, on or after the effective date of this Act, that certified EMTs, recertify using at least 16 hours of required topics and 8 hours of elective topics over 2 year period, and require cabinet to recognize any EMT who chooses to recertify under the requirements established by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians.
