AN ACT relating to health insurance.
Amend KRS 304.17A-150 to make it an unfair trade practice under the insurance code for a health insurer to require a health-care provider to participate in all plans offered by the insurer when the provider chooses to participate in one or more but not all plans.
HB 371 - AMENDMENTS
HFA (1, J. Gooch) - Prohibit an insurer from requiring participation by a physician rather than a health care provider.
HFA (2, J. Gooch) - Amend KRS 304.17A-110 and 304.17A-270 to prohibit a health care provider from discriminating against an insurer or covered persons if the insurer is willing to meet the terms and conditions for participation under which that provider participates in any other health insurer's plans.
SCS - Amend KRS 304.17A-150 to make it an unfair trade practice for a health insure to require a health-care provider to participate in all plans offered by the insurer when the provider chooses to participate in one or more but not all plans, and to set forth that a contract provision violating such is void.
SFA (1, E. Scorsone) - Retain original provisions and attach the provisions of HB 268.
