HB 376 (BR 1683) - J. Gooch

     AN ACT relating to blasting safety.
     Amend KRS 351.315 to add eligibility for a blaster's license for those who have worked in the field for a year and have completed a department-approved training program; add requirement for continuing blaster's training every 3 years for renewal of blaster's license; increase renewal fee for blaster's license from $20 to $60; require applications for blaster's license to include a photograph.

     HCS - Retain provisions of the original bill, but exempt a certified surface coal miner from the requirement under blaster's license renewal provisions to furnish proof that during the preceding three years he has attended blaster's training.
