AN ACT relating to school fundraising activities.
Amend KRS 158.290 to limit school fundraising activities by elementary and middle school students to activities on school grounds; require parental consent for school fundraising activities by high school students off school grounds; require a fundraising business or organization sanctioned by a public school to disclose to the school the percentage of funds that the school is to receive; require that the school receive no less than sixty percent of total funds raised.
HB 382 - AMENDMENTS
HCS - Amend KRS 158.290 to require that fundraising activities by elementary or middle school students shall not require door-to-door sales or solicitations; require parental consent for participation by a high school student in fundraising activities off school grounds; and require a business or organization sanctioned by a school district to assist in fundraising activities to disclose the percentage of funds raised to be received by the school.
HFA (1, T. Feeley) - Retain original provisions but require the principal or the principal's designee to inform parents or guardians of children who are involved in the fundraising activity about the percentage of funds the school will receive.
