HB 420 (BR 1647) - S. Alexander
AN ACT relating to superintendents of schools.
Amend KRS 160.350 to permit a local board of education to enter into a contract with a superintendent of schools for a term of no more than three years that is extended annually for a one year period upon evaluation and approval of the board; require a board of education electing to enter into an annually extended contract to develop procedures for the evaluation of the superintendent; specify that the evaluation must to take place annually, prior to July 1.
HB 420 - AMENDMENTS
HCS - Provide that a local board of education may extend a contract of a superintendent for one additional year beyond the current term of employment after the completion of a superintendent's first contract or after four years, whichever comes last.
