HB 429/FN (BR 343) - M. Marzian
AN ACT relating to blood testing.
Amend KRS 438.250 to delete the requirement for testing of hepatitis A, to require testing for any disease if testing for that disease is recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and to require testing to be conducted as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
HB 429 - AMENDMENTS
HCS - Retain original provisions; provide that if a public servant or crime victim who is bitten by or exposed to blood of, among others, a patient or resident of any health facility owned or operated by the Commonwealth, then the patient or resident shall be tested for HIV, hepatitis B and C, and any other disease as recommended by the CDC.
SFA (1/FN, J. Rose) - Amend KRS 205.5632 to provide that FDA-approved prescription drugs within the same therapeutic drug class and that have comparable efficacy, safety, and cost to other FDA-approved prescription drugs that have been placed on the Medicaid nonprior-authorized drug file shall be placed on the Medicaid nonprior-authorized drug file.
