AN ACT relating to insurance.
Create a new section of Subtitle 20 of KRS Chapter 304, the insurance code, to require a 30 percent discount on a homeowner's or fire insurance policy if the property has a fire protection sprinkler system.
HB 445 - AMENDMENTS
HCS - Delete original provisions and provide that every property insurer shall include a premium credit or discount provision in its rate filings for buildings equipped with an automatic sprinkler system; require the amount of the credit or discount to reflect the cost savings the insurer expects to realize in insuring property so equipped.
