HB 472 (BR 1329) - De. Butler, T. Burch, J. Haydon, J. Jenkins, C. Miller

     AN ACT relating to distilled spirits and wine.
     Amend KRS 243.030 to create a "sampling license" with an annual license fee of $100; amend KRS 244.050 to permit licensed retailers of distilled spirits and wine to give free samples of product to customers under restricted circumstances.

HB 472 - AMENDMENTS


     HFA (1, D. Butler) - Add language requiring the acqusition of a sampling license; add a new subsection which requires retail package licensees that recieve a sampling license to notify the Deprtment of Alcoholic Beverage Control at least 7 days prior to a sampling event, limit sampling to a 4 hour period between 10:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m., and require that customers be stamped when they reach their prescribed sampling limit.
     HFA (2, D.      HFA (3, G. Stumbo) - Add new sections amending KRS 243.070 and 243.075 to permit a county to impose license fees on alcoholic beverages and sales.
     SCA (1, T. Buford) - Delete provision requiring a customer's hand be marked or stamped when he or she has reached the sampling limit.
