HB 474 (BR 1763) - S. Nunn
AN ACT relating to professional counselors.
Amend KRS 335.500 to add a definition of certified professional counselor associate; permit the board to issue a certificate for a professional counselor associate to an applicant that meets all requirements for a professional counselor except the number of hours of experience required; after January 1, 2001, require professional counselor to have 3,000 hours of experience.
HB 474 - AMENDMENTS
HCS - Retain original provisions; amend KRS 335.525 to require applicants for a "professional counselor" certificate, after January 1, 2001, complete the 3,000 hours of minimum experience in the practice of counseling after obtaining the master's degree and under approved supervision.
HFA (1, S. Nunn) - Retain original provisions and require that after January 1, 2001, all 3,000 hours of experience to be obtained after obtaining a master's degree.
