HB 50 (BR 342) - S. Riggs
AN ACT relating to commercial insurance.
Amend KRS 304.13-051 to exempt from rate-filing requirements policies issued to exempt commercial policyholders; define exempt commercial policyholder; amend KRS 304.14-120 to exempt from form-filing requirements policies issued to exempt commercial policyholders.
HB 50 - AMENDMENTS
HCS - Retain original provisions but provide that the following are exempt commercial policyholders without meeting the four criteria listed: the Commonwealth, a city, county, or urban-county with a population of at least 50,000 persons, and a not-for-profit organization or public entity with an annual budget of at least $25,000,000 or assets of at least $25,000,000; amend KRS 304.11-050 pertaining to premium taxes, and KRS 304.3-230 pertaining to service of process, to conform.
