AN ACT relating to medical directors of managed care plans.
Amend KRS 304.17A-545 to require the medical director of a managed care plan to be a physician who is licensed in Kentucky, in good standing, and who has never had his or her license revoked or suspended.

HFA (1, S. Westrom) - Retain original provisions; amend KRS 304.17A-545 to require the medical director of a managed care plan to sign any decision to deny, reduce, or terminate a health care benefit, or deny payment for a health care service.
HFA (2, S. Westrom) - Retain original provisions; amend KRS 304.17A-545 to require the medical director of a managed care plan to sign any decision to deny any health care benefit.
HFA (3, M. Treesh) - Retain original provisions; amend KRS 304.17A-545 to delete the language requiring that the medical director of a managed care plan not have his or her license revoked or suspended.
