AN ACT relating to the suspension of an operator's license.
Amend KRS 186.560, relating to the mandatory revocation or denial of a driver license, to require the mandatory suspension of a minor's driver's license if the minor is convicted for possessing or purchasing alcoholic beverages, or for using a driver's license to gain access to a public place licensed to sell distilled spirits, wine, or beer by the drink, or for conviction of public intoxication; establish penalties for a first, second, or third and subsequent offenses; permit a person convicted of a first offense for possessing or purchasing alcoholic beverages or for public intoxication to avoid a 3 month license suspension by attending state traffic school; amend KRS 222.990, relating to penalties for alcohol and other drug abuse, and KRS 244.990, relating to penalties for violations of statutes governing alcoholic beverages, to conform.
