AN ACT relating to public protection.
Amend KRS 17.260, 17.270, and 95A.040, to change jurisdiction from the Department of Insurance to the Department of Housing, Buildings and Construction; amend KRS 198B.664 to remove the specific license renewal date for HVAC contractors; amend KRS 198B.686 to make falsely advertising as a licensed HVAC contractor a Class A misdemeanor.

SCA (1, K. Stine) - Repeal KRS 17.260 - 17.270 and amend KRS 95A.040 to conform to HB 631 transferring the authority from the Kentucky State Fire Marshal's Office to the Kentucky Community and Technical College System for the coordination of continuing training and certification of Kentucky fire fighters; retain the remaining provisions of the Act.
