AN ACT relating to supported employment for individuals with significant disabilities and making an appropriation therefor.
Create a new section of KRS 151B.180 to 151B.210 "supported employment services"; amend KRS 151B.195 to authorize the commissioner of the Department of Vocational Rehabilitation to promulgate administrative regulations establishing supported employment programs to serve individuals with significant disabilities; require the commissioner to ensure the department coordinates services with workforce investment boards and one-stop career centers, distributes funds appropriately to each county, monitors the use of funds and redistributes funds as necessary, provides technical assistance, coordinates services and contracts, and develops quality assurance measures; appropriate $3,000,000 for fiscal year 2000-2001 and $5,000,000 for fiscal year 2001-2002.
