     AN ACT relating to the transient room tax.
     Amend KRS 91A.392 to provide that the additional levy of the transient room tax applies to counties containing a city of the second class.

HB 584 - AMENDMENTS


     HCS - Retain original provisions and add subsection to amend KRS 91A.390 to permit counties having multi-county tourism and convention commissions to levy an additional 1% room tax for the promotion of tourist and convention business and convention centers.
     HFA (1, J. Gray) - Amend House Bill 584/HCS to prevent revenues from benefiting out-of-state convention facilities.
     HFA (2, J. Callahan) - Exclude counties containing cities of the first or second class that are part of a multicounty tourist and convention commission.
     HFA (3, J. Gray) - Amend House Bill 584/HCS by deleting Section 2, relating to the transient room tax and multicounty tourist and convention commissions.
