HB 63/FN/LM (BR 152) - T. Burch
AN ACT relating to immunizations.
Create new sections of KRS Chapter 209 to require long-term care facilities, adult day centers, adult day health services, and assisted living residences to provide or arrange for immunizations against pneumococcal and influenza for residents, participants, and employees; provide for exemptions; require the Department for Public Health to provide educational literature and immunizations; permit the Department for Public health to seek reimbursement for immunizations.
HB 63 - AMENDMENTS
HCS/FN - Retain original provisions; define "outbreak"; delete requirement that employees be immunized; permit health departments to bill external payors; prohibit health departments from providing immunizations if the resident has an insurance plan that provides that coverage with other health care providers; and require the commissioner of public health to report outbreaks and hospital admissions.
