AN ACT relating to the Commission on Fire Protection Personnel Standards and Education.
Amend various sections of KRS Chapter 95A to transfer the Commission on Fire Protection Personnel Standards and Education from the State Fire Marshal's Office, Department of Housing, Building and Construction, to the Kentucky Community and Technical College System; increase overhead expense allowed from 5% to 10%; amend KRS 95A.270 to increase annual appropriation to firefighters training center fund from $200,000 to $500,000; amend KRS 75.400, relating to definitions, to conform; create new section of KRS Chapter 95A to define the relationship of Commission on Fire Protection Personnel Standards and Education to the Kentucky Community and Technical College System.
HB 631 - AMENDMENTS
HCS - Retain original provisions except delete increases in appropriations to the firefighters training center and for administration of the commission operations by the Kentucky Community and Technical College System; and amend provision to clarify that state fire marshal positions shall be assigned to the Department of Housing, Buildings and Construction in the Office of State Fire Marshall.
HFA (1, F. Rasche) - Amend KRS 95A.240 to delete the increase in the amount of reimbursement to the Kentucky Community and Technical College System for salaries and cost of administering the Professional Fire Fighters Foundation Program Fund.
