AN ACT relating to vehicles.
     Amend KRS 227.550 to remove the Recreational Vehicle Certification and Licensure Board from the definition of "board," remove reference to recreational vehicle from definition of "Class A seal," add "park trailers" to definition of "dealer," remove recreational vehicle from definition of "manufactured housing," remove recreational vehicle from definition of "manufacturer," add "fifth wheel trailer" to definition of "recreational vehicle," while removing "park vehicle," modify definition of "travel trailer," remove definition of "park vehicle," define "fifth wheel trailer," "park trailer," "gross trailer area," and "NFPA"; amend KRS 227.570 to remove references to recreational vehicles and Recreational Vehicle Licensure Board from provisions of section; create a new section of KRS Chapter 227 to provide that all recreational vehicles and park trailers sold within the state must be constructed in accordance with ANSI A119.2, and all recreational vehicles must be constructed also in accordance with NFPA 1192; amend KRS 227.580 to remove references to recreational vehicles from process of the office issuing certificates of acceptability; amend KRS 227.590 to remove reference to recreational vehicle; amend KRS 227.600 to remove process of manufacturers being prohibited from selling recreational vehicles without seals of approval issued from office; amend KRS 227.610 to clarify that dealers of recreational vehicles and park trailers are exempt from provisions of KRS 227.610 to 227.640; amend KRS 227.630 to remove references of recreational vehicles from grounds of revoking licenses or certificates of acceptability; amend KRS 227.650 to remove recreational vehicles from references to inspection by office, and training programs for inspections of recreational vehicles for local government personnel; amend KRS 227.660 to remove recreational vehicles from inspection by state inspectors; amend KRS 227.992 to remove references to recreational vehicle from penalties; repeal KRS 227.565, which establishes the membership, compensation, and meetings of the Recreational Vehicle Certification and Licensure Board.
