HB 645 (BR 386) - F. Rasche

     AN ACT relating to city utilities.
     Amend KRS 96.740 (3) to require officers of a municipality and employees of a municipality who are related within the third degree to the mayor or to any member of the governing body to wait at least one year after the expiration of their public office or employment before their employment or appointment to a city electric plant board; remove personal liability of plant board members.

HB 645 - AMENDMENTS


     SCS - Amend provisions of the bill to provide that the one year waiting period for appointment to a city utility board after leaving city employment shall be waived if the prospective employee is not related to the mayor or city council within the third degree.
     SFA (1, R. Leeper) - Include new Section 2 that amends KRS 96.520 to require that municipal telephone service in cities of the second through the sixth class shall be regulated by the Public Service Commission.
