HB 692 (BR 2152) - M. Cherry, C. Geveden
AN ACT relating to the Board of Claims.
Create a new section of KRS Chapter 44 to bar claims under one hundred dollars; amend KRS 44.086 to require the Board of Claims to hold hearings on contested claims whose value is one thousand dollars or more; amend KRS 44.140 to allow appeals from board awards where the amount in controversy is one thousand dollars ($1,000) or more.
HB 692 - AMENDMENTS
HFA (1/FN, G. Lindsay) - Amend KRS 44.070 and increase the amount of a single claim for the recovery of money or a single award up to two hundred thousand dollars; provide that multiple claims be increased not to exceed three hundred and fifty thousand dollars but limits any individual claimant from receiving more than two hundred thousand dollars.
