AN ACT relating to diseases in the corrections system and making an appropriation therefor.
     Amend KRS 197.055 to require Department of Corrections to implement a peer-to-peer education and prevention program concerning the prevention of blood-borne pathogens and sexually transmitted diseases, and require one program to insure that any person in the corrections system who is known to be infected with HIV or AIDS be given, upon release or parole, a discharge planning and coordination to permit continuity of care outside the corrections system; appropriate $180,000 for fiscal year 2000-2001 and $182,000 for fiscal year 2001-2002.
