HB 727 (BR 2194) - G. Lindsay

     AN ACT relating to the identification of certain bills to be introduced in the General Assembly.
     Amend KRS 12.010 to make technical changes pertaining to state government.

HB 727 - AMENDMENTS


     HCS - Delete the original provision of the bill and create a new Section to KRS Chapter 7 which requires all bill drafts which come to the sponsor and the Legislative Research Commission from a state agency, board, commission, public corporation, or state officer to be labeled "AGENCY DRAFT" on the front page when it is filed or prefiled; require that drafts not covered in Section 1 shall be labeled "SUBMITTED DRAFT" when it is filed or prefiled; provide that drafts which are substantially altered by a Legislative Research Commission drafter from the original submitted agency draft the drafter shall notify the sponsor and the Director of the Legislative Research Commission when the bill is subject to the provisions of this Act.
     HCA (1/Title, C. Geveden) - Amend title to read "AN ACT relating to the identification of certain bills to be introduced in the General Assembly."
     SFA (1, D. Williams) - Delete original provisions; require the LRC to indicate on the face of all bill drafts submitted to a member of the General Assembly by a state officer, state agency, board, commission, public corporation, or other organization created by statute or executive order, and processed by the LRC, that the bill was prepared from an agency draft.
