AN ACT relating to school curriculum.
Create a new section of KRS 158 to permit a school council to adopt a course of study that includes an elective course that uses religious or scriptural texts as instructional material; permit the posting of the Ten Commandments or other religious, literary, or historical documents to be posted as part of the curriculum; and require a course to treat religious or scriptural texts in a academic, balanced, and objective manner and not favor or disfavor religion, or any particular religious belief.
