AN ACT relating to retirement.
Amend KRS 61.552 to allow an employee participating in the Kentucky Retirement Systems to purchase service on a school board by paying the full actuarial cost; require employee wishing to do so to contract with the system prior to December 31, 2000.
HB 859 - AMENDMENTS
SCS/AA - Retain original provisions but provide that school board time purchased shall not apply toward insurance eligibility; amend KRS 61.555 to provide purchase of military active duty in excess of 4 years by paying 100% of the cost and provide that purchase not apply toward insurance eligibility; create new sections of KRS Chapters 16, 61, and 78 to redefine "delayed contribution payment" effective January 1, 2001.
