HB 888 (BR 2294) - S. Nunn

     AN ACT relating to occupational therapy.
     Amend KRS 319A.010 to redefine "practice of occupational therapy;" amend KRS 319A.090 to permit a person who meets entry level certification requirements as an occupational therapist registered or certified as an occupational therapy assistant in another state, as established by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, to practice in the Commonwealth for no more than sixty (60) days in a calendar year with an licensed occupational therapist; amend KRS 319A.110 to require occupational therapy and outpatient therapy assistant educational programs to be accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association's Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education; amend KRS 319A.140 to require the board to issue a license to an applicant who has paid the fees and submitted a written application and shows evidence of entry level certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy or another nationally recognized body.
