AN ACT relating to telephone solicitations.
Amend KRS 367.46955 to include as a prohibited telephone solicitation the failure to notify a consumer that the consumer's free trial offer for a subscription or service has ended and that the consumer has the option of canceling before the consumer's account is charged for the next paid offer period; impose penalties for failure to notify the consumer; amend KRS 367.46999 to conform.
HB 930 - AMENDMENTS
HFA (1, T. McKee) - Retain original provisions, except add the requirement that telemarketing companies notify consumers at least 10 calendar days prior to the expiration of the free trial offer period for a subscription or service.
