AN ACT relating to crimes and punishments.
     Create a new section of KRS Chapter 525 to create the crime of animal torture when a person tortures an animal or poisons a domestic animal as a Class D felony; provide defenses for hunting and other legitimate activities relating to animals; amend KRS 525.130, relating to cruelty to animals in the second degree, to conform and to provide defenses for various legitimate activities relating to animals.
