AN ACT relating to budget statements.
Amend KRS 160.463, relating to publishing annual financial statements in the newspaper, to permit the school district to publish a statement of revenue and expenditures from the official audit with a summary statement that the audit report is available for inspection at the school district offices and will be mailed upon request; the district is encouraged to post the summary on its World Wide Web homepage, if it maintains one; amend KRS 424.220, relating to publishing a statement of all funds collected, received, held, or disbursed in the newspaper, to permit the school district to publish a summary statement that the audit report is available for inspection at the school district offices and will be mailed upon request; the district is encouraged to post the summary on its World Wide Web homepage, if it maintains one; amend KRS 424.250, relating to the school district's budget filed with the clerk of the tax levying authority, to require the local district to mail a copy to any individual who requests it in writing; the district is encouraged to post the budget on its World Wide Web homepage, if it maintains one.
HB 984 - AMENDMENTS
HCA (1, H. Collins) - Amend KRS 158.6453 to require the school report card summary to be published in the newspaper with the largest circulation in the county or a publication of at least monthly issue with circulation equal to or exceeding that of a newspaper with the largest circulation in the school district.
