AN ACT relating to authorized uses of funds in jail and prisoners' inmate funds.
Create new sections of KRS Chapters 196 and 441 requiring assessment and seizure of funds in the canteen account of an inmate to pay costs of damage to himself, another inmate, a staff member or another person, or the facility; specify that payment of cost does not limit right to bring civil or criminal proceedings against inmate.
HB 991 - AMENDMENTS
HCS/LM/CI - Retain original provisions, require the jailer rather than the fiscal court to create policies and procedures to implement the provisions of this Act, require fiscal court approval of policy.
