SB 107 (BR 1714) - G. Johnson

     AN ACT relating to venue.
     Create a new section of KRS Chapter 452 relating to venue to require a judge to transfer a case to the court with proper venue when it has been brought in a court that lacks jurisdiction because of improper venue.

SB 107 - AMENDMENTS


     SCS - Retain original provisions and clarify that provisions are to apply only in civil actions.
     HCS - Require that in civil actions, when the judge of the court in which the case was filed determines that the court lacks venue to try the case due to an improper venue, the judge, upon motion of a party, shall transfer the case to the court with the proper venue.
