SB 132 (BR 1797) - T. Buford, B. Guthrie
AN ACT relating to motor vehicle titles.
Amend KRS 186A.520, regarding motor vehicle salvage titles, to exempt vehicles damaged solely by hail that are still roadworthy from requirements for salvage title; amend KRS 186A.530 to conform.
SB 132 - AMENDMENTS
SFA (1, T. Buford) - Insert a new section 1 to establish eligibility for a "Hail Damaged" title, establish inspection procedure to assure road worthiness of hail damaged vehicles, mandate that the county clerk enter hail damage brand into AVIS system, and mandate that the vehicle carry a hail damage brand if transferred to a new owner; make conforming amendments.
