AN ACT relating to tourist and convention commissions.
     Amend KRS 91A.350 to specify the types of projects that may be funded by tourist and convention commissions; make technical corrections; amend KRS 91A.360 and KRS 91A.380 to specify that formal hotel and motel associations and formal local restaurant associations shall submit names for nomination to a commission; require that the books and accounts of a commission be audited annually and that a copy of the report is made available to the public upon request and at no charge; amend KRS 91A.390 to require that moneys collected be maintained in a separate and unique account and be considered tax revenue for purposes of KRS 68.100 and KRS 92.330; grant the commission sole authority to authorize expenditures from the account; require a determination by the commission for revenues to be used to finance facilities for the purpose of attracting tourists and conventions; create a new section of KRS Chapter 91A to allow the State Auditor to review audits of commissions; allow a resident of the county in which a commission is located to bring action before the Circuit Court to enforce the provisions relating to tourist and convention commissions; amend KRS 91A.392 to conform.
