AN ACT relating to the use, sale, and distribution of tobacco products.
Amend various sections of KRS Chapter 438 to require that the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control, instead of the Department of Agriculture, carry out the enforcement functions relating to youth smoking prevention.
SB 139 - AMENDMENTS
HCA (1, A. Arnold) - Transfer cigarette wholesaler licensing to the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control from the Revenue Cabinet; transfer enforcement of the Unfair Cigarette Sales Law to the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control from the Revenue Cabinet.
HCA (2, A. Arnold) - Establish a trust and agency account in the State Treasury for the Alcoholic Beverage Control to deposit moneys collected from the state cigarette excise tax.
