SB 143 (BR 1749) - E. Scorsone
AN ACT relating to teacher tribunals.
Amend KRS 161.790, relating to teacher tribunals, to give a hearing officer final authority to rule on dispositive prehearing motions; allow a hearing officer to conduct all or part of an administrative hearing, or a prehearing conference, by telephone, television, or other electronic means if each party has an opportunity to hear; and clarify that the review of the final order shall be based on the record and follow the requirements of KRS 13B.150.
SB 143 - AMENDMENTS
SCA (1, E. Scorsone) - Include a reference to the Education Professional Standards Board relating to administrative regulations under which teachers can be found insubordinate.
SCA (2, E. Scorsone) - Delete provision to allow the hearing officer to conduct an administrative hearing or a prehearing conference by electronic means.
