AN ACT relating to local governments.
     Create a new section of KRS Chapter 65 to mandate that all counties, cities, special districts, except for water districts created under KRS Chapter 74, urban-county governments, and charter county entities operate under a fiscal year, and provide that those entities formerly operating on a calendar year include fees, revenues, and expenses from January 1, 2001, through June 30, 2001, in its fiscal year ending June 30, 2002, for conformity with all other reporting requirements; amend KRS 64.017, 64.140, 64.152, 64.345, 64.350, and 64.810 to conform; make conforming amendments; EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2001.
