AN ACT relating to public safety and declaring an emergency.
     Amend KRS 17.500 to define certain terms; amend KRS 17.510 to provide for the registration of sex offenders; amend KRS 17.520 to provide for lifetime registration of certain sex offenders and 10 year registration for other sex offenders; amend KRS 17.550 to define certain terms; amend KRS 17.552 to regulate persons who conduct sexual offender risk assessments; amend KRS 17.570 to require risk assessments of sex offenders while keeping certain information confidential; amend KRS 17.572 to provide for community notification of sex offenders under Megan's Law; amend KRS 17.576 with a conforming amendment; amend KRS 17.578 to provide for relief from registration upon reversal of the underlying conviction or upon a pardon; create a new section of KRS Chapter 17 to prohibit a sex offender from residing within 1,000 feet of a school; create a new section of KRS Chapter 17 to provide civil immunity to individuals acting in good faith under KRS Chapter 17; amend KRS 197.410 to define "sex offender"; amend KRS 197.440, 439.265, 532.045, 532.050, and 532.100 to conform; EMERGENCY.
